Overview

The FutureCities India 2020 competition is a national level competition developed for high school students that focuses on the use of science and technology development process to solve real world challenges incorporating real world data and using globally recognized professional software.

This program is sponsored by Department of Science and Technology in association with Bentley Systems

In addition:

  • Teachers serve as Program Counselors
  • Practicing professionals serve as team mentors
  • Outcomes are realistic/innovative proposals/answers
  • Students learn a marketable skill
  • Capacity building in geospatial technologies
  • Inspired by and working in cooperation with National Engineers Week Future City      Competition in the United States

    • The competition encourages the students to develop, design and integrate the functionality of their ideas while fostering an interest in maths, science, engineering, architecture and facility planning through a hands-on, real-world application.
